TESTIMONIALS

The Chamber has been my go-to organization when I need help making a connection, staying informed or sharing information important to our community. They were an important advocate to help bring back maternity care to Chatham County and fostering collaborations that make our community a better place to work and live.

I have found the Chatham Chamber of Commerce to be an extremely valuable resource for exposure to the Chatham County business community. The work that the Chamber does to promote and connect local businesses has been of great benefit to our firm, and the unique networking opportunities have fostered important relationships on both professional and personal levels.

The annual Chatham Development Briefing event stands out as a yearly highlight. This event is a good example of how the Chamber unites business leaders from across the county and state, focusing on the important projects and development issues facing Chatham County. We proudly sponsor this event and believe that our support contributes to the success of our firm and Chatham County at large.

The Chatham Chamber of Commerce is a great resource for any local business, of any size. The amount of value they provide their members is impressive. From local (and virtual) networking events to advertising and sponsorship opportunities, as well as ways to volunteer and get more involved in Chatham, it’s clear they have put Chatham businesses and residents first.

I just wanted to let you know how appreciative I am for the on-going webinars that the Chamber has worked so hard to put together during the pandemic, they have been truly informative. The Chamber continuously shares up-to-date information on COVID-19 resources for both businesses and residents of Chatham that are invaluable.

But there’s just so much more a membership brings that my one review can’t possibly cover it all. I am convinced that a membership in the Chatham Chamber is the best return on investment a business or nonprofit can have. I recommend joining the Chamber to any local business, large or small, in any industry.

We cannot say enough about the Chatham Chamber of Commerce and President Cindy Poindexter. They are an incredible organization dedicated to supporting local businesses and the community. Cindy and her staff work hard at providing our business with many valuable opportunities to learn, meet with other business owners, and are an excellent source of information. We are truly grateful to be a part of this amazing group.

The Chatham Chamber of Commerce is a vital resource for businesses and citizens alike. The Chamber is one of the county’s leaders in developing business connections, providing networking opportunities for entrepreneurs, and fostering leadership development. I grew up in Chatham County and thought I was knowledgeable but learned a great deal about the County and its business leaders through the Chamber’s Chatham Leadership program. I am looking forward to a time when we can have events with full smiles and handshakes. I imagine a Chatham Chamber of Commerce event will be my first opportunity to catch up with many business and community leaders

“The Chamber and Cindy play an important role in our community by providing opportunities for businesses to network and connect with one another at Chamber events throughout the year. Their Annual Development Briefing Event is a great way for us to keep the community updated on all that is happening in Chatham County. Cindy is always a pleasure to work with and we appreciate her support of our organization.

Even during challenging times of no in person meetings, we are grateful for Cindy and the Chatham Chamber to keep us connected. There are informative zoom meetings with interesting guests on a variety of topics. Cindy is always available via phone or email to answer questions. Weekly emails provide us with connections to other chamber members, news, and information pertinent to business and the community. We receive helpful updates on changing rules and regulations for covid, and details on PPP funding. We can participate in Public Policy zoom meetings and ask questions of public officials on the economic impacts of covid. Thank you, Cindy, for your support of local businesses.

Has there ever been a journey you have taken that you had no idea the result? This was the adventure a group of young people and I took together called Leadership Chatham. From the YMCA icebreaker, to the farms on the back roads growing plants we had never heard about for our environment, to the aging cowboy with the painful hip going on horseback to day check on his cattle, to the county jail with floors so clean you could have eaten off them, to the fire department personnel patiently waiting to help people in need, to our government officials giving us an experience on how the county government runs. These are just a few of the hands-on adventures we were given. This is a wonderful program that lets us realize how lucky we are to live in Chatham County and all the talented people who are working for us. Last but not least, a big thank you to Cindy for her expertise and direction on making this program so special, to all the new people I met along the way, and the new things I learned, I am forever grateful.

I think one of Chatham’s biggest assets is the Chamber. In my years of owning businesses, serving businesses, and working at the local Community College I have never seen a chamber as active as the one we have here in Chatham County, and that includes the big cities like Raleigh or Greensboro. A week doesn’t ever go by without getting an email about some program that I’d like to attend. There are never ending educational lunch & learns, public policy meetings on critical emerging issues, and countless networking opportunities. For the business owner, being a chamber member means great exposure to the community by attending, hosting, or participating in the never-ending list of events. Personal favorites include the annual Development Briefing which is tremendously informational and the Christmas Parade which is tremendously fun -even if it’s a little cold. Running a business is always challenging but running a business while you are a member of the Chatham Chamber definitely makes things easier!
